How to Pick a Christian Hat You'll Actually Wear
I make Christian hats, so keep that in mind. These are the things I thought about when I designed the first one, and they're what I'd look at if I were buying one from somebody else.
Start with what it says
A lot of faith hats are a cross, a slogan or a single word. Those can be good. Before you buy, think about what you'd say if a stranger asked you about it. A hat tied to a specific verse gives you an answer. Mine is Galatians 2:20, so if someone asks, I can point them to it.
Would you wear it on a normal day?
The best hat is the one you put on without thinking about it. Plain colors like black go with more, and a design that isn't too loud is easier to wear to work or to church.
Screen print or embroidery
Embroidery is stitched thread and holds up well. Screen printing pushes ink through a mesh onto the fabric, which lets you get finer detail, like the lines in a crucifix. Either one lasts longer if you keep it out of a hot dryer. Hand-washing and air-drying is the safe route.
Fit
Check whether it's adjustable or fitted. Adjustable backs fit most heads. Fitted hats come in sizes, so if you're not sure, measure around your head just above your ears.
Who made it
A lot of Christian apparel is printed on demand by companies that have nothing to do with the brand on the label. That isn't wrong, but if it matters to you, look for a shop that tells you who's behind it and how the hats are made. I make mine in small runs and pack each order myself.
If it's a gift
Pick a verse or phrase that means something to the person you're giving it to. It's more likely to get worn.
If you want to see what I make, it's under Christian hats. The first one is the Crucified to Life hat.
